# Process — Obel

> The eight steps Obel takes on a project. It starts with understanding the task and ends with what changed after launch.

## 1. Understand the task

First we work out what's actually needed and what the real constraints are. Often the real problem isn't the stated one.

## 2. Identify the risks

We find the weak spots and test our guesses cheaply, before anything is drawn.

## 3. Prioritize what matters

We decide what matters. We don't do everything: some things deep, some just handled quickly.

## 4. Build and validate the structure

We build the structure and test it on rough prototypes, before any polished screens. That way the expensive mistakes show up earlier.

## 5. Finalize the designs

We take it to final, detailed design with clear rules, so the product can be built from it without guesswork.

## 6. Hand it off so it sticks

We hand it over so it sticks. Handover isn't sending files, it's getting a working process running inside your team.

## 7. Measure the results

We look at what changed after launch and tie it to business goals: what worked and what's worth scaling.

## 8. Reinforce and repeat

We turn what worked into a clear way of working that the team keeps using on its own.
